The solar panel is attached to the outside of the trailer, container or swap body and connected to the video telematics box, which is attached inside. An algorithm ensures that the device's local battery is automatically recharged via the solar panel. An unique charging /
discharging approach significantly improves battery life so that the battery can still operate at a very high capacity even after 10 years. The solar panel is made of UV-resistant material and has been tested under extreme temperature and vibration conditions.
Use the video telematics box as an IoT gateway for additional sensors that can be attached as required. For example, we offer this door sensor kit as an option, which can be used to monitor the door of the trailer. The sensor registers whether the door is open or closed. The telematics box can be programmed, for example, so that a picture of the interior is always taken as soon as the door is closed or opened. Furthermore, this kit has the following additional properties: Orientation recognition, acceleration sensor, temperature sensor, push button, battery life up to 7 years.

How does the installation work?
The installation of the video telematics box is not complex and can be carried out by a specialist within a few minutes. The device only needs to be attached to a suitable location in the inner area of the cargo space.
The solar cell must be installed outdoors and connected to the device via a professional and safe transfer. The device takes the first pictures. A calibration is carried out on the basis of this, after which the device is ready for use.
